Experience a new immersive installation featuring works by artists Helen Anna Flanagan and Gavin Gayagoy! In this exhibition, both artists use the domestic setting to navigate experiences of alienation through societal neglect and digital isolation. The works were created during artist residencies at FACT and further developed in Studio/Lab, our dedicated space for nurturing and supporting artistic practice.

This autumn, we’re delighted to present two new exhibitions by artists Bassam Issa Al-Sabah and Nina Davies! Explore Bassam’s dreamlike worlds of animation, painting and sculpture in an immersive exhibition that offers visions of resistance, transformation and queer possibility. Blurring fact and fiction, Nina collaborates with Eve, Luke and Mel, three young people from the Liverpool City Region, to transform their lived experiences of cancer into a world that unfolds like a sci-fi documentary.

This Black History Month, join us for two rare screenings of works by director Menelik Shabazz (1954–2021), a pioneer of Black British filmmaking. Catch Young, Rebel and Black: a back-to-back screening of three powerful short films, as well as Shabazz’s radical sci-fi documentary Time and Judgement.
