From Friday 18 September, discover three free-to-visit exhibitions at FACT! Across the galleries, artists transform familiar experiences of family, music and the internet into richly imagined worlds, inviting us to see ourselves and the world around us differently.

Taking place at FACT from 2-4 October, How To Read An Image brings together artists, writers, and researchers for three days of talks, lecture-performances, and conversations exploring how images train the real, organising what we see, feel, and believe.

We're delighted to announce the three artists selected for the 2026 Digital Artist Residencies: Jessica El Mal, April Martin and Zara Truss Giles. Delivered in partnership with DaDa, Homotopia and Lucid Games, the residencies are part of FACT's ongoing commitment to supporting emerging artists working at the intersection of games, culture, art and technology.
