We always deliver free artistic activities that introduce children and young people to new ways of thinking and using technology. This programme aims to inspire them to make connections between the things they learn in school and their identities, and communities outside of class. Whatever the subject, we can work together with you to provide the right tools for learning.

Rachel Maclean's major new exhibition, They've Got Your Eyes, is a playful, mesmerising and unsettling world that invites us to question the technologies that mirror us back and who is really shaping creativity in an age of machines.
AFTERLIFE by ONLY SLIME (Toby Pfeil and Claudia Cox) transforms their 2023 computer-game opera into an ambitious new installation that invites you to step inside a world between life and death.

Guided by the belief that imagination is our most important form of technology, Sahjan Kooner's new exhibition, (darkforest) The Zone of Ghosts, invites us into a world created in collaboration with young people aged 12-19 from Liverpool and Leigh.

Facilitated workshops - FREE
Alongside your visit we can offer free workshops for your group inspired by the exhibitions.
Our current workshops are inspired by Sahjan Kooner's exhibition. You are invited to a creative and fun session focused on imagination and storytelling, where you will enter the world (and set) of Sahjan’s fantasy film darkforest to make an offering to the forest and to write your own darkforest-inspired film plot, before joining us inside an infinity-symbol-shaped structure to play The Zone of Ghosts board game.
We can tailor this to the interests of the young people. All workshops will take place in FACT’s Studio/Lab on the Third Floor.

Alternatively we can come to you. We can adapt the workshops above to be facilitated in your school by us. We can work to your school's needs and can provide any relevant technology. This again is all free.
We are an Artsmark partner and work with schools at all stages of the artsmark journey and are happy to discuss how we might contribute to your Artsmark intention document. In collaboration with artists and teachers, we work towards FACT becoming a resource for learning. We do this by co-designing art-based educational experiences, creating bespoke learning resources, and hosting CPD sessions and professional events for educators.
Whether you visit us or we come to you, the sessions ensure young people can share their perspectives on technology and explore different ways they can create art. The artists we work with and the art the young people create may not be the type of art young people are used to.
