Runtime: 119 mins

Written and directed by Peter Greenaway, The Cook, The Thief, His Wife And Her Lover centres around Le Hollandais gourmet restaurant - where every night is filled with opulence, decadence and gluttony. But when the cook, a thief, his wife and her lover all come together, they unleash a shocking torrent of sex, food, murder and revenge.

This screening is part of Liverpool Architectural Society's new curated film series Consuming Architecture. The series highlights three diverse films, each exploring the subject of food. The parallels between food and architecture often overlap - from the way that raw materials are sourced, processed and consumed to our understanding of both food and architecture's global, environmental and sustainable impact.
