This documentary, directed by Eefje Blankevoort and Els van Driel, tells the stories of young migrants attempting to cross the Balkans to reach Western Europe. Comprising substantially of footage shot by migrants themselves, Shadow Game is an elaborately-constructed film mosaic and shocking testament to Europe’s asylum policy.
The film will be followed by a Q&A session and a chance to speak to activists and researchers about the issues raised.
