We're thrilled to announce the launch of Studio/Lab Artist Memberships! Studio/Lab embodies our commitment to nurturing emerging talent and fostering creativity in the North West, serving as a hub for local and regional artists to connect, collaborate, and experiment.

Situated on the building's top floor, Studio/Lab is a co-working space tailored for creatives whose practice is critically engaged and digitally focused. It's equipped with mid-to-high-end equipment, including cutting-edge technology and entry-level immersive kits, as well as digital production tools, to support a variety of digital practices.

Within Studio/Lab, you'll find specialised spaces designed to support the development of your artistic practice, facilitate experimentation, and test new ideas. The Sound Studio, complete with microphones, a mixing desk, and sound deadening, offers an ideal environment for recording voiceovers, discussions, foley, or live streams. The Project Space is dedicated to hands-on work and is suitable for soldering, 3D printing, and small-scale technical projects.

Members can unwind, brainstorm, and network in the Kitchen and Lounge, use flexible workspaces for focused work or meetings, and access a spacious Lab area for events and workshops. The Digital Library holds an extensive collection of resources, including books on art, film, and creative technology, alongside high-performance PCs equipped with software such as Blender, Adobe Creative Suite, Unity, and Unreal 4 and 5. For those working with moving image, there's a Video Studio fitted with tools for editing, colour grading, rendering, and exporting.

As an Artist Member, you'll not only have access to Studio/Lab's spaces and equipment but also the opportunity to participate in knowledge-sharing sessions led by artists and creatives with expertise in various practices, as well as community meetings and socials. Additionally, through Studio/Lab, FACT offers other forms of support such as mentorship, artist crits, digital surgeries, and professional development sessions.
