Halloween with Frank. What could possibly go wrong? Jake Gyllenhaal is Donnie, a sleepwalking teenager whose strange visitor has some unsettling news: the world is going to end in 28 days. A falling jet engine and a figure in a rabbit suit called Frank draw him into a mystery that stretches well beyond his life in 1980s American suburbia. Richard Kelly's debut returns to the big screen for its 25th anniversary, presented in its theatrical cut in 4K. Its dark humour, time-travel puzzles and 1980s soundtrack make for a Halloween night with plenty to get lost in. This LMF Presents screening at Picturehouse @ FACT can be enjoyed on its own, with no post-film discussion. If you'd like to explore the film and its cult following in more detail, our separately ticketed Mad World talk and workshop takes place in The Box from 12:30–16:30 earlier that day.
