Join us to learn more about Jenkin van Zyl's new exhibition! This immersive installation transports you to Jenkin's hallucinatory film world where couples must compete in a grueling endurance dance marathon. Discover an energy-drink lined trophy room and watch Jenkin's film, Surrender (2023), from inside the belly of a giant metallic rat.

For this event, Jenkin and our Learning team have worked with a group of local young people to design a tour that shares their unique perspective on the exhibition. The group will lead conversations with the artist, exploring Jenkin's practice as well as the different motifs and themes found within the work. The tour will last between 45-60 minutes.

This special free event is part of our birthday celebrations, marking 20 years since FACT opened its doors in 2003. Come and celebrate with us on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 October as we look back at two decades of unforgettable moments, and look forward to what the future holds for us, you and our growing community of artists.
