Dive into the world of physical computing with this introductory workshop with DoES Liverpool, a coworking, events and maker space based on Kempston Street. Led by Chris and Snoof, the creative minds behind STEAMengineers, this session is designed to build your confidence and kickstart your journey in coding and electronics.
Using Micro:bit, an educational and powerful microcontroller, you'll discover how accessible electronic circuit building and coding can be. This hands-on workshop will guide you through creating your own circuits and writing the code to control them, providing a solid foundation for future tech projects.
Chris and Snoof bring a wealth of experience in making technology accessible to all. Their backgrounds in circuit board design, 3D printing, and neurodiversity training ensure a welcoming environment for learners of all abilities. You'll also get to see inspiring examples of their past projects, sparking ideas for your own creations.
This workshop is suitable for 18+, and no prior experience is necessary – just bring your curiosity and, if possible, your laptop. Don't worry if you don't have one - we can arrange to lend you a device for the workshop. Let us know by emailing studiolab@fact.co.uk.
