As part of their biennial cross-arts festival, DaDaFest International 40, DaDa present an evening of short films celebrating disabled artists and reflecting on their 2025 festival theme of Rage.

Featuring screenings from 18:00 to 20:30, the programme includes a newly commissioned film highlighting the impact of DaDa’s long-running music programme, along with new works by Dolly Sen, Amina Atiq, and Dora Colquhoun, as well as dance films from RAWD and Patrick Bannon. Join DaDa for an informal Q&A after the screenings, meet the artists, and enjoy drinks and snacks.

Celebrate 10 years of the DaDa Ensemble project and the wider music programme. DaDa has commissioned a new short film reflecting on the work of the DaDa Ensemble over the years, featuring performance clips and interviews with young musicians, music leaders, and project staff. This informal celebration includes a screening of the 6-minute film, with time to chat before and after.

This programme showcases new commissions from artists responding to the theme of ‘Rage’. Discover two film adaptations of recent poems—Unwoven by Amina Atiq and I Want More Disabled Rage by Dolly Sen—alongside Home, a new work by Dora Colquhoun featuring original music. The screening also includes dance-on-screen pieces produced by RAWD (Random Acts of Wildness Disability) and Patrick Bannon. After the films, join an informal Q&A and meet the artists over drinks and snacks.

About DaDa

DaDa is an award winning and pioneering disability and Deaf arts organisation based in Liverpool with international reach and impact. Founded in 1984, they were one of the first disability-led arts organisations in the UK and an integral part of the campaign for greater equality and access for disabled people.

As an organisation they are known widely for DaDaFest International, a biennial cross-arts festival which has nurtured and supported many renowned disabled artists from the UK and beyond since its first iteration in 2001.
