THE MISSION IS THE END, THE END IS ALL I WANT! (2025)

Bassam Issa Al-Sabah’s dreamlike worlds of animation, painting and sculpture offer visions of resistance, transformation and queer possibility. In this new work, Bassam explores the glossy appeal of digital media — its seductive surfaces, its power to shape desire, and its grip on how we see ourselves. But do these images reveal who we truly are, or have we been taught to long for the impossible?

MEET ME IN THE DIGITAL TWIN (2025)

Nina Davies blends fiction and non-fiction in her work to help us see the world in new ways. For this project, she worked with Eve, Luke and Mel, three young people from the Liverpool City Region who access the support of the Teenage and Young Adult Unit at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust. Over the past year, the group came together to imagine a fictional podcast and film, inspired by the complexities and confusion of living with and beyond cancer.
