Tom Shennan

Tom Shennan (he/they) is an artist and filmmaker working in expanded cinema, exploring the consolations of play, sensory perception, and audience agency through autistic and queer perspectives. Their multi-disciplinary practice draws from interactive technologies, projection, puppetry, olfactory design, and sound to create absurdist worlds that reshape space and time.

Works include the immersive show, Come Rest in Chaos (2025), co-created with Shivaangee Agrawal, films selected for BFI touring programmes such as ADHD POTPOURRI (2021) and Walnut Men (2020), and ACE-funded False Positive (2024). They are an Associate Board Member at Abandon Normal Devices and a member of Centre for People’s Justice Network.
