Heavy Digestations

Heavy Digestations (She/her) define their multidisciplinary practice as "culino-philisophico-autobiographical," a quote borrowed from The Debt to Pleasure by John Lancaster.

Using low-resolution and low-culture mediums and aesthetics, they build speculative post-humanist worlds that act as examinations of food, technology, erotics, and the performance of the self. Finding meaning in the mundanities, they data-mine private and public ritual, investigating desire and observing pursuits of pleasure, convenience, abundance, and advancement, to determine and define authenticities. HD's prognostications speak of redundant flesh in digital landscapes and the liminality of ancient practices.
