Part of the Autumn/Winter 2019 season

Over recent years, a lot has been written about the impact of gaming on young people’s identity construction. Using Why Can’t We Do This IRL?, FACT’s latest intergenerational art project, we would like to take the conversation a little further and talk about our duty of care towards young people’s mental health when exploring the use of technology as a platform to talk about gender politics and discrimination.

This engaging workshop continues FACT’s work around STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths) and how young people gather and share knowledge. The session will include hands-on learning activities around a conversation with Philomena Harrison, Senior Lecturer in social work and currently Programme leader for the BA in Social work at Liverpool Hope University.

Suitable for teachers and educators.
