#TOUCHMYSOUL (2015)

We’re more connected than ever before. Able to interact with friends, public figures and even foes over the internet each day, what impact is this having on how we understand our relationships with those around us, and the ways our emotional cores are configured? #TOUCHMYSOUL asks us how we can truly connect with another person across the networks, what this feels like, and how we can be moved by such an encounter. The collective’s performance, commissioned by FACT for Follow, attempts to bring those connections into focus, and capture what happens in a lasting, indelible way.

While the performance has finished in Gallery 1, visitors will have the opportunity to listen back to a selection of the phone calls which took place between the artists and those who called in from all over the world, alongside other ephemera from the performance such as the google doc and footage of the livestream.

For 3 days over 10 - 13 Dec 2015, LaBeouf, Rönkkö & Turner invited the public to pick up a telephone and touch their soul on +44 (0)151 808 0771 between the hours of 11am – 6pm GMT. The performance was also livestreamed at touchmysoul.net

Commissioned by FACT, with support from CANVAS and New Hive.
