Wednesday 11 April / 7pm / The Box / FREE, booking required
In anticipation of his headline show at 24 Kitchen Street on Friday 13 April, Australian audio-visual artist Robin Fox will lead a discussion about his work at FACT. Working across live performance, exhibitions, public art projects and designs for contemporary dance, for this event Robin will focus on his laser works, which synchronize sound and visual electricity in hyper-amplified 3D space.
As well as exhibiting his work in major galleries, and collaborating with some of the most exciting improvisers and directors, Fox has released numerous sound works on labels across Europe, Australia and the US. In 2016 he co-founded MESS The Melbourne Electronic Sound Studio which houses a publicly accessible museum grade collection of electronic musical instruments. Fox has written a history of experimental music in Melbourne and holds a PhD in composition from Monash University.
