Twenty-eight-year-old Jennifer Brea is working on her PhD at Harvard and months away from marrying the love of her life when a mysterious fever leaves her bedridden and looking for answers. Refusing to accept the limitations of life stuck in bed, Jen turns her camera on herself and a hidden community of millions confined to their homes and bedrooms by ME, commonly called chronic fatigue syndrome. She shares her pain and her most intimate moments in order to offer hope and visibility to those who suffer alone in dark, silent rooms. At its core, Unrest is a love story – a heartbreaking, inspiring and funny account of how Jen and her new husband forge their life together while dealing with her illness.
