Technology is changing our lives but what about our homes?
This short interactive cinematic experience asks just how much does your living room know about you?
Websites like Netflix and YouTube personalise our entertainment, and products like Alexa control our home with voice command. But do you ever think about how much technology knows about you and your loved ones?
Do you wonder where personal information will be stored, how safe it is, or how household objects will interact with each other, and you? And in the future, how much will your living room know about you?
We invite individuals, couples, families, and groups of friends to explore these questions at FACT in a simulated living room of the future.
The Living Room of the Future is a short interactive cinematic experience after which, you’ll have a chance to take part in a short 10 minute interview to share your thoughts.
Suitable for all ages, but under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
This is a Research and Development project delivered between FACT, BBC R&D, the British Council, University of Nottingham, Lancaster University, and University of York. In addition to support from the British Council, this project is being delivered using funds from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
