Open Call: Create FACT's timeline

  • 13 June 2013 - 15 September 2013

2013 marks the tenth year of the FACT building, and we are searching for designers, illustrators, and artists to create a innovative and engaging timeline of FACT’s history. We are looking for a designer, illustrator or artist to create an engaging, attractive and easy to follow visualisation of FACT’s history right up until the present day to appear on The Wall for the duration of Turning FACT Inside Out exhibition.

This open call has now closed. The winning Timeline, from Me_Me Collective, can be seen on The Wall as part of Turning FACT Inside Out until 15 September.

We will provide you with all the data you’ll need which you can use in any way you like, as long as it is aesthetically pleasing, interesting and uncluttered!

This timeline will appear alongside the exhibition Turning FACT Inside Out, running from June 13 to August 25, during which we are inviting artists and creative producers to take over FACT.

You can find out more information about Turning FACT Inside Out on the exhibition project page.

The Prize

The winning proposal, which will be selected by our panel, will receive a fee of £300 plus £500 for production. The winner will work with FACT to develop, produce and install their work in FACT where it will appear alongside artists from around the world in our Turning FACT Inside Out exhibition. This is an amazing opportunity to have your work seen by thousands of people, as part of an international exhibition in one of the UK’s leading new media art galleries.
