We’re excited to announce a new traineeship opportunity, supported by Film Hub North, for a young person aged 18 to 25, based in the North West, who has a passion for film and is keen to develop skills in curating film programmes for young audiences at FACT.
As a Young Film Programmer Trainee, we’ll support your development and equip you with the skills to deliver large-scale film events. You’ll assist the Film and Events Officer in establishing partnerships with key organisations and help develop a young film audience aged 15 to 25.
What To Expect
Throughout the traineeship, FACT will provide a structured progression pathway, offering an introduction to film programming and support for a future career in cinema. You will gain hands-on experience by shadowing and assisting our Film and Events Officer, actively contributing to the programming and delivery of film screenings, while also accessing networking opportunities.
A key focus of the traineeship will be engaging younger audiences by curating a programme specifically designed for them. This will culminate in leading the programming and project management of a Cinema in the City event hosted at FACT. Cinema in the City is FACT’s film programme that takes place at FACT and other venues across the Liverpool City Region. Its focus is to screen independent and specialised films to engage new audiences and communities across the city.
