We are seeking up to 5 new Trustees to join our voluntary Board to support and contribute to our journey.

FACT is the UK's leading organisation for the support and exhibition of art and film that explores new media and digital culture. Our building in the Ropewalks district of Liverpool houses two large art galleries, three cinema screens (run by Picturehouse), a screening and events space, a studio for creative learning, a café, and a bar. Beyond the building, we work with schools and communities to provide opportunities to create and explore art and technology.

Over the last 2 years, a new leadership has given FACT the opportunity to rethink and refocus the organisation. Our aim is to maintain FACT’s reputation as an international leader in media art, while strengthening its role and relevance as a cultural venue for Liverpool and the region, a learning provider, and a creative space that supports the next generation of artists and filmmakers.

Previous experience of Board membership is not needed as we will provide support and mentorship. We encourage applications from people who can contribute to broader ethnic and cultural diversity on FACT’s Board, as well as d/Deaf or disabled people. We welcome applications from artists and cultural practitioners.

We also encourage young people over 18 to apply - please do contact us if you are a young person who would like a chat about what the role of a Trustee involves.
