The project is just getting started and last week we went for a walkaround at Fingerpost, an area of St. Helens where some of the young people live.
We used the time to talk about the activities young people love doing (football is big in Fingerpost!) and about how we want the artwork to tell the stories of the young people involved. It's shaping up to be an interesting project because the voices of the group are at the centre of it - and they are all participating in a digital art project for the first time.
I can't wait to see what they come up with through collaboration with David, and whether the artwork has an impact on the wider St. Helens community.
The next workshop will take place in FACTLab, where David will be encouraging the group to start a conversation by making things and sharing ideas... we'll be sharing photos of this process on our Twitter, so follow @Freehand_FACT for updates!
