NeuroTriage presents an evening of film and discussion to raise awareness of women’s experiences of homelessness in Liverpool.

The event will begin with a panel discussion and Q&A featuring: Sophie Mayor (Outreach Services Manager, The Whitechapel Centre), Ashlea Davies (Domestic Abuse Outreach Worker, The Whitechapel Centre), Sarah Clarke (VAWG Lead, Red Umbrella), and Zoe Zontou (Associate Professor in Drama, Liverpool Hope University). Submit your questions to the panel here.

NeuroTriage will also be screening director Satoshi Kon’s Tokyo Godfathers, a heartbreaking, hilarious, and highly original film that follows the stories of three homeless people in modern-day Tokyo. It is a tale of hope and redemption in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.

All profits from this event will go to Red Umbrella, a project supporting people involved in sex work, selling sex, and/or experiencing sexual exploitation to combat instances of violence and crimes against them and bring perpetrators to justice. Find out more here.

This evening is part of a week of events for International Women’s Day 2025. Discover NeuroTriage’s full program of events here: www.neurotriage.com/iwd2025.
