On 6 August 2024, six Palestine Action activists were arrested on site at Elbit Systems, the headquarters of an Israeli weapons manufacturer in Filton, England.

When activists broke into the factory, with the aim of disrupting the arms trade to Israel, they discovered undeclared and fully assembled quadcopter drones boxed and ready for export. This led to an unprecedented counter-terror policing investigation known as 'Operation Recomply'.

Operation Recomply Still 2

By July 2025, twenty four people had been arrested in relation to the Filton action; they were all held under the Terrorism Act before being remanded to prison. Family members experienced violent house raids and were left with the lingering uncertainly of not knowing when - if ever - their loved ones would return home.

While the UN expressed human rights concerns, and journalists exposed collusion between the Crown Prosecution Service, Elbit Systems and the Israeli Embassy, bail applications were refused and some defendants faced up to two years in prison before standing trial.

This documentary has taken many twists and turns during its creation. Alex Grace started following the case and filming the Filton demonstrations in November 2024 and in early 2025 decided to make a feature length documentary. Since then, Palestine Action was proscribed as a terrorist organisation, thousands of pensioners have been arrested for holding cardboard signs, there was a hunger strike and in February 2025 most of them were eventually released on bail. Sadly after a retrial in April, four defendants were found guilty of criminal damage and were remanded back to prison to await sentencing on the 12th June.
