Liverpool Biennial 2021: The Stomach and the Port looks at the body and ways of connecting with the world. Don't miss the UK’s first major contemporary arts festival to emerge since lockdown with brand new artworks and immersive installations by Black Obsidian Sound System (B.O.S.S) and Zheng Bo.
In this upcoming solo exhibition, Liverpool-based artist Kiara Mohamed highlights how modern concepts of masculinity can be surprisingly conservative, even within the trans community. Curated in collaboration with Liverpool-based curator, cultural organiser and artist Fauziya Johnson, Soft Boys questions what it means to be a man by focusing on emotion, empathy and joy.
We've teamed up with National Museums Liverpool, Tate Liverpool, Unity Theatre, 20 Stories High, First Take and Collective Encounters to create 30 new job placements through the government's Kickstart Scheme.
