Do you work with primary school aged children? Are you seeking new ways to engage your students? This CPD training course has been designed for teachers and teaching assistants who work with primary school aged children. The training will cover both the practical skills needed to plan, shoot and edit short films with class groups, as well as a host of film based activities that can be linked to the development of key literacy skills.
We make sure we use low budget technology and free editing software to ensure the training is relevant to attendees from a wide range of settings, even those with minimal technology in the classroom. With the addition of computing to the curriculum it has never been a better time to get to grips with editing software.
The implementation of the new National Curriculum provides an opportunity for schools to integrate film as a tool for learning across all core subjects. Whilst developing your school's new curriculum in line with the changes, why not embrace film as a way to enrich content delivery. The training will talk about several introductory activities relevant to beginners at KS1 and the development of these activities for challenging students at lower and upper KS2.
If you are interested in attending a Start-up or EYFS CPD, this training day will also be suitable for you. Just let us know, and we’ll make sure we have the additional resources that you’ll need.
No previous experience of film required.
