Trauma, Representation and the work of Krzysztof Wodiczko

Wednesday 21 September - 2pm - 4pm / The Box / FREE, booking required

This workshop and discussion event will focus on the theme of trauma, questioning how individuals and groups can communicate their trauma and how we can, and should, represent these traumatic experiences.

Using Krzysztof Wodiczko’s exhibition as part of the Liverpool Biennial exhibition, we will examine these themes through a tour of the exhibition, presentations from those who work on this theme and an informal discussion.

Speakers include:

Jason Bell - a former soldier who served 5 years with REME, who is currently working as a Veterans Project Assistant on several digital arts projects with ex-forces members, through our Veterans in Practice programme.

Tom Kewin - a PhD candidate in the University of Liverpool's English department.

Mark Storor - an artist who collaborates with people from marginalised and vulnerable communities.

Adele Spiers - Lead Art Psychotherapist at SOLA Arts, a community arts project that specialises in supporting people from refugee and BME communities.
