Sentiment Art

26 March / 12pm - 6pm and 27 March 11am - 4.30pm / The Box / FREE, drop-in

What if you couldn't just hear someone's opinion, but could feel it too?

As part of the Group Therapy related programme, join us to experience the pilot presentation of an immersive exploration into how we live and who we are.

Between November 2013 and February 2015, Diane Wiltshire from Mixed Reality Labs in Nottingham University interviewed fifty participants with varying experiences and backgrounds, and recorded their responses to 40 questions along with the data from their emotional reactions.

The first installation reveals eighteen answers from twenty participants, including some of the participants in FACT's Veterans in Practice group. Visitors to The Box can hear the audio recordings of these conversations through multiple speakers, and will be provided with a wearable device that will provide an insight into the accompanying emotional data.

Sentiment Art is a living project and hopes to return to FACT in the summer where adaptions of interaction and immersion will have taken place.

Thanks to the Veterans in Practice at FACT for their contribution to Sentiment Art through their words and Biodata.

Over 18's only. Visitors may find some content distressing.
