Emerging from Veterans in Practice’s artwork Remembered?, which asked the viewer to engage with local memorials and to critically consider the impact of these monuments documenting lives lost, we invite you to join us for a discussion on the contemporary role of the memorial.
With artist Paul Cummins and designer Tom Piper’s now iconic Weeping Window in it’s final week at St Georges Hall, we will together explore the historical and current use of the memorial, question how we choose what and whom to remember, reflect on how we might choose to commemorate in the future and contemplate what current and prospective methods imply about our own society.
