OLF City Game

11 June – 3 July / Monday – Friday, 12pm – 7pm and Saturday - Sunday 10am - 4pm / FACT and IFB2016 / FREE

Curated by arts organisation Metal, the Beach Huts project will animate the International Festival of Business site across a three week period.

Artists, makers, poets, performers and creative entrepreneurs will occupy the beach huts creating temporary stations for live music, workshops, performances and conversations throughout the festival. There will be a  trail of 20 unique huts starting at the Exhibition Centre, through the Albert Dock and onto the main thoroughfare of the Strand (strand being the old English word for beach).

An experimental city game based between FACT and a Beach Hut sited outside the Echo Arena for the International Festival of Business 2016, using equipment from Google’s Internet of Things Research Program and a collection of makeshift machines by artist Alex Pearl.

The Object Liberation Front (OLF) is devised by artists and PhD researchers from our experimental workshop space FACTLab, and the OLF City game challenges you to decode a series of clues to discover more about our relationship with the objects that surround us.

Liverpool's waterfront will be lined with beach huts, that celebrate British culture, new technology and art, as part of the International Festival for Business 2016.

Visit FACT or the OLF Beach Hut to download the app and get started!

The Beach Huts at the IFB2016 is a Metal initiative. The OLF City Game is a collaboration between FACT, Metal, Red Ninja, the University of Liverpool and Draw and Code.
