Sharon Lockhart 1

4 July / 5pm
FREE (No ticket required)

FACT and Liverpool Biennial invite you to be among the first to see the first UK solo exhibition by artist Sharon Lockhart on Friday 4 July, including an opportunity for 16-25 year olds to Meet the Artist at 5pm.

Known for exploring often overlooked subjects in everyday life, Lockhart immerses herself in new environments, building relationships with people and places. Perhaps the most significant of these is her friendship with a 15 year old Polish girl Milena, who Lockhart first met (when Milena was nine) whilst creating her 2009 film Pódworka, which will be presented in FACT’s Gallery 1.

Two photography projects created by Lockhart and Milena will also be presented as well as a text-based work.

This will also be a chance to ask questions, and be the first to hear about her new film which will premiere at FACT which features a group of Polish teenagers and explores alternative education.

The event is open to all but it is specifically designed for 16 - 25 year olds. It is free and unticketed.
