Saturday 6 and Saturday 13 December / 12pm - 4pm / FREE (Drop In)

Saturday 6 December

Build your own Rudolph complete with flashing red nose!

Ever wondered why Rudolph's nose flashes? It's because he's LED powered. In this quick session we will be constructing the most basic LED circuit possible - and using it to transform a simple Rudolph ornament into one with a flashing red nose.

There's no soldering involved in this workshop so it's suitable for children of all ages (even adult ones!)

Saturday 13 December

MadLab enjoys building circuits in unexpected places and from unexpected things. In this session we will be constructing miniature LED Christmas Trees from laser cut parts, copper tape and solder.

Under 14's will need adult supervision in order to complete the soldering aspects of this workshop.

Batteries used are replaceable, so they will last the whole of the Christmas period!

MadLab is a grassroots innovation organisation, based in Manchester and concentrating primarily on science, technology and the arts.

We support a diverse range of communities and activities – from monthly meetups and courses through to public experimentation with new & emerging technologies, and collaborating with others to deliver new, interesting and exciting projects.
