29 July / 6pm - 8pm / FACTLab / FREE
Show and Tell is a monthly gathering for people who use technology in their creative practice, and this time we want you to get involved by submitting your problems to artist collective Ghana ThinkTank. Submit your problems using the postcards in the FACT foyer, or on social media via #MyLiverpoolProblem.
Ghana ThinkTank is an ever-growing collective/network that has been “Developing the First World" since 2006. They collect problems in so called “developed” countries, and send them to think tanks established in Cuba, Ghana, Iran, Mexico, El Salvador, and the U.S. prison system, where these problems can be analyzed and solved.
Members of the collective will be present to talk about their work as part of their residency at FACT 27 July - 3 August. Get involved now using #MyLiverpoolProblem and submit your problem for consideration!
For this session, we'll also be joined by Interspecifics, a multispecies collective experimenting in the intersection between art, science and technology. They embrace hybridized practices among different disciplines using living organisms, open knowledge and precarity as tools. Their work explores the relationship between sound, matter, electricity and other physical manifestations of frequencies, seeking a pattern-based understanding of different organic and synthetic systems that intimately rely on vibrations to communicate.
Book your ticket now and be part of Ghana ThinkTank's project!
FACTLab and its' events are supported by the Culture Programme of the European Union and Connecting Cities
