Join curator Lesley Taker for an after-hours tour of our latest exhibition Designing Desire, a pop-up exhibition and programme by three artists who are operating at the juncture of visual arts, technological production, scientific exploration and political activism to consider the future of 3D Printing.
The tour will be followed by a screening of Donna Haraway: Story Telling For Earthly Survival. Haraway is a prominent scholar in the field of science and technology, a science-fiction enthusiast and feminist, who works at building a bridge between science and fiction. She became known in the 1980s through her work on gender, identity, and technology, which broke with the prevailing trends and opened the door to a frank and cheerful trans species feminism. Haraway is a gifted storyteller who paints a rebellious and hopeful universe teeming with creatures and futuristic trans species, in an era of disasters, and the film paints a rare, candid, intellectual portrait of a highly original thinker.
