6 June / 12pm -4.30pm / Gallery 1 / FREE, booking required
Join DoES Liverpool to learn how to measure up for the Raptor hand, an upper limb prosthetic hand which will be produced throughout the Build Your Own exhibition.
We will be looking for people to be measured for a prosthesis and individuals to assist with the session.
Age 3 and above. Children to be accompanied by an adult.
Due to high demand, we will be running two sessions: the first will take place 12pm - 2pm and the second 2.30pm - 4.30pm. Both sessions are free and places are limited so booking is essential!
Please note: Only children interested in being measured up for the Raptor Hand need to book a "Measuring" ticket. Guardians and family members accompanying those being measured DO NOT need to book a place.
If you are being measured for a Raptor Hand, or you are interested in seeing the next stage of the process, you might also be interested in booking a free place for the DoES Assembly workshop, where we will be putting the 3D printed elements of the hands together to create a working Raptor Hand.
Desktop Prosthetics by DoES Liverpool is part of a much bigger, ongoing initiative which means that if you are not able to secure a place for this workshop, there are many other opportunities available for you and your child. Find out more about the ongoing project here.
