Digital Painting with Jon Turton

Working with BBC Get Creative and artist Jon Turton, we are offering you the chance to bring your painting skills into the digital age, by learning how to create beautiful works of art using an iPad or tablet.

Using free software, this two hour session led by a digital artist will teach you new skills in digital painting and drawing. You will leave with the skills to find and download your own software, print and share your work, as well as being able to create impressive and original art work.

No previous experience is required. This session is for experienced painters/drawing enthusiasts looking to develop into a new digital medium; curious iPad/tablet owners looking for an artistic activity to learn, and those looking to meet people who are interested in art, digital media and fine art.

Please note: we have 10 iPads for the session, and ask that participants bring their own if possible, in order to provide more opportunities for others. Please state when making your booking whether you are able to bring your own device by emailing

Jon Turton is an experienced and energetic practitioner who often collaborates with FACT on delivering training on iPads & tablets. He has several years of experience in working with young and old. He is an artist, tech practitioner and filmmaker.
