Artist Cine Club: Africa in Science Fiction

Following on from the recent exhibition, Superpower: Africa in Science Fiction, at Arnolfini Bristol, this screening and discussion will survey a recent tendency for artists to produce science fictions set in Africa.

Considering how the forms and methodologies of sci-fi might complicate narratives and representations of the African continent, the video programme will include works by Mark Aerial Waller, Crystal Beacon and Neil Beloufa. The screening programme will be introduced and chaired by Al Cameron from Arnolfini and FACT curator, Omar Kholeif.
