"If you're not making a mistake, you're not trying hard enough" Sir Robin Saxby
Even the most successful people make mistakes and these often turn out to be even better learning experiences than the things that go to plan.
Our brand new series of free talks for 16-25 year olds called Everybody Learns Something, invites leading businessmen and women to discuss some of the best mistakes they have made and how this has influenced their careers.
The series kicks off with technology entrepreneur Sir Robin Saxby who had his first electronics kit at eight and opened a TV repair business at 14!
He went on to become CEO and Chairman of ARM, the company that designs the microprocessors used in billions of smartphones, cars, iPads and televisions around the world. It’s a long way from ARM’s first office, run from a barn outside of Cambridge and where Saxby won the first board table in a bet with a local furniture salesman!
On 15 May he will explore some of his failures he has learned from during his career and how this helped him succeed as an innovator and entrepreneur.
