Contact: A Photography Exhibition

An exhibition by Veterans in Practice (VIP) and artist Stuart Griffiths exploring experiences of military life and life after service.

Thursday 22 November - Sunday 9 December

Location: The Wall

Cost: FREE

VIP is a group of military veterans who work with artists to produce digital art projects as part of FACT's arts and health strand Healthy Spaces.

Stuart Griffiths who is an ex-serviceman himself led the group on the photography project and said "Many veterans feel stigmatised when they leave the Forces and are looking for a light at the end of the tunnel; and hopefully this flagship project has been a beacon for the group."

Group member Brett Squires is an ex-soldier who found himself homeless upon leaving the army in 2003 and said "Taking part in the project has been great. It gives me something to focus on and I always look forward to coming here. When I left the forces, there was nothing out there and it's only recently that there has been more support for veterans that need it. I have loved doing the photography and learning about IT is helpful for job hunting."
