BFI Film Academy

The BFI Film Academy at FACT will give talented 16-19 year olds with a passion for film, from all backgrounds, the opportunity to be part of the UK's future film industry.

The BFI Film Academy Network is an initiative established by the BFI and produced by a range of regional partners. FACT has been chosen to deliver the programme for Young People based in the North West.

The 7 week programme will provide Young People with a full overview of all aspects of film making: practical and theoretical; cultural and commercial and identify, nurture, celebrate and showcase future talent.

Working with our partners, the BFI Film Academy will involve 26 Young People, who will come to FACT every Saturday to undertake the project. They will develop industry links, skills and opportunities to develop their talents.

To apply and for more information, visit the Downloads section on the right hand side of the page. Completed application forms should be submitted to the project manager Louise Latter at louise.latter@fact.co.uk. The deadline for applications has been extended until Friday 11 January.
