Mike Forshaw is a Liverpool born filmmaker who moved to
Newcastle to study photography before completing a Film Production
degree at Northumbria University. After his graduation short was
spotted by a talent scout from the National Film and Television
School, Mike accepted a place in their Fiction Direction
Diploma.
Mike's film Slippin' - which he wrote and directed - was
premiered at the BFI London Film Festival. His latest short,
Uncle Fran was commissioned by Vision+Media in association
with the UK Film Council as part of their Digital Shorts scheme.
Uncle Fran was nominated for Best Newcomer at Rushes Soho Shorts
2011 and was show at FACT's Liverpool Film Night 2010.
After returning from a year's travelling, Mike is working to extend
his body of work as a filmmaker.
