James initially studied Physics at university where he specialised in Astrophysics as he was fascinated with the stars. After graduating and time away from the UK travelling, he discovered a new passion for computers after being introduced to an old machine lent to him by a friend. As a 22 year old, he was hooked as working with computers as they suited his logical and methodical way of thinking.
In 2000, James took on his first role in the computer industry with the job title of Multimedia Monkey. James moved steadily up the ranks, learning new technologies and gaining experience of websites, games, email campaigns, CMS, 3D design and video editing.
Whilst working at Amaze, James met Alastair Eilbeck and started collaborating with him on new media artworks which have been part of the Robots and Avatars and The Humble Market exhibitions at FACT.
