Brand new music events at FACT

By popular demand, FACT is launching two new music events for our audiences. See the Big Suit on the Big Screen, and try out some collaborative listening....
The first of our new events is Collaborative Listening - an evening where we invite you the audience to bring along some of your own or other people's music that you'd like to share. Whether it's the xx or Xenakis, play tracks from your iPod, laptop or phone and join in!

Each event will be hosted by a guest artist. For the first event on Tuesday, 06 July we are joined by Forest Swords. The Wirral outfit make a textured, gauzy music as indebted to the Liverpool region's rich musical heritage as it is the windswept-yet-beautiful coastal environment from which it was born. The result is something completely organic, sounding like a mix of Mogwai's more luscious soundscapes, Burial's sample strewn claustrophobia, with touches of Ennio Morricone's legendary reverbed guitar soundtracks.

The second event is Music and Film - a chance to see a series of legendary concert films on the big screen at FACT at a standing-only event!

For the very first in the Music and Film series, we'll be screening Talking Heads' 1983 classic Stop Making Sense on 18 August. See the Big Suit on the Big Screen and relive their classic hits!
