Artist Cine Club this Wednesday!

Kerry Baldry’s curated programme continues its international tour at FACT this Wednesday...
The Artist Cine Club showcases artist’s work within the cinema environment and is always free to attend. This Wednesday we will be presenting artist Kerry Baldry’s One Minute Volume 5, which is the fifth in the series of her curated moving image programmes. Baldry’s One Minute Volumes contain sixty seconds of each selected artists work and it is fascinating to see how each artist has responded to this limited time frame. Seeing a One Minute Volume programme lets you dip your toe into a multitude of artists’ practices and leaves you wanting to find out more.

One Minute Volume 5 includes work by both established and emerging artists including Chris Paul Daniels who recently brought Unravel – the longest hand painted film in Britain to FACT last Summer (resulting in a hand painted film that stretched from lands end to John O’Groats!). Also included will be Kayla Parker’s Flora. The artist collected flora on a walk around Plymouth then pressed them into a clear strip of 35mm film to make her inclusion in the volume.

The screening is at 6.30pm and will be accompanied by a discussion with Kerry Baldry and artists from the programme. Tickets are FREE but booking is required either online, in person at the Box Office, or by calling 0871 902 5737.

The next Artist Cine Club will be on 1 February. Have a look at our What’s On section to find out
