The season kicks off with Tim Burton's magical stop-motion
animation The Nightmare Before Christmas 3D, and Bruce
Willis stars in the ultimate alternative Christmas flick
Die Hard, yippee-ki-yay! In much loved family comedy
Home Alone, Macaulay Culkin plays eight-year-old Kevin who
has to thwart two bungling burglars in their attempt to steal his
Christmas presents.
Chevy Chase trips, falls, mashes his fingers and and stubs his
toes in National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Will
Ferrell plays the loveable Buddy on a quest to find his real family
in Elf.
Charles Dickens's classic story is recreated in both
Scrooged where Bill Murray soon learns the error of his
ways and The Muppet Christmas Carol starring Michael
Caine, Kermit, Miss Piggy and the rest of the Mupper crew. For less
adorable furry friends, Gremlins offers a subversive take
on the Christmas genre.
Santa Claus: The Movie features two elves battling it out to help Santa deliver his Christmas presents and the season finishines with Irving Berlin's classic White Christmas presented in a stunning restoration.
We'll also be screening the beautiful ballet The
Nutcracker filmed from the Bolshoi and Royal Opera
House.
The Bar are serving mulled wine, hot winter cider, whisky mac's
(hot or cold), hot chocolate or coffee with house spirits and mince
pies to enjoy with your film!
Merry Christmas!
