On Wednesday 5 September at 8.30pm we're incredibly excited to
be hosting an exclusive preview screening of the film with a
satellite Q&A live from London featuring director John Hillcoat
and writer Nick Cave.
Nick Cave has been the frontman of critically acclaimed
blues/post-punk/garage rock band Nick Cave and the Bad
Seeds since they formed in the mid-eighties. NME described
their last album as a 'gothic psycho-sexual apocalypse' and
religion, death, love, America, and violence have all been
highlighted as Cave's key musical influences. His first experience
of working with movies was his starring role in the brilliantly
named film Dogs in Space. In 2005 Cave and fellow 'Bad
Seed' Warren Ellis composed the soundtrack for John Hillcoat's
breakthrough film The Proposition, which Cave also
wrote.
After collaborating on the music for 2009's The Road,
Cave and Hillcoat have reunited yet again for Lawless. The
film premiered at the Cannes film festival with The Telegraph
claiming the film is 'as revivifying as a neat slug of moonshine'
featuring one of Shia LaBoeuf's best ever performance.
Book your tickets for the preview of Lawless plus satellite Q&A online, in person at the box office or by calling 0871 902 5737.
