The opening of the Biennial is getting closer and closer by the
day and we are excited to be welcoming Australian artist, Jemima
Wyman whose large scale installation, Collective Coverings,
Communal Dreams, will be taking over our ground floor space.
We need you to make this installation happen! The artwork invites
the Liverpool community to get involved and weave parts of the
structure that will grow throughout the exhibition period. We will
be running weaving workshops on Saturdays and you can also book a
bespoke session if you are part of a group. You can find out more
information online here.
The woven pieces will be made from t shirts so we also need your
donations! We are looking for military colours, you can take a look
at the photos on the right of this page for an idea. If you have
any old t shirts sitting at the bottom of your drawers that need a
new lease of life, then please donate them to us and they will
become part of this Biennial commission. Just drop them off at our
Information Desk in the FACT foyer.
Help us soften the fabric of the FACT Building
As part of the Liverpool Biennial, artist Jemima Wyman will be working with the people of Liverpool to weave a new architecture for FACT's interior.
