The ARtSense project is looking at adaptive augmented reality and bio-sensing in a museum setting - in simple terms: technology that you wear and that adapts information based on your physiological responses.
FACT, along with Musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris and the Museum of Decorative Arts in Madrid are working with research institutes across Europe (including Liverpool John Moores University and University of Valencia) to develop these exciting new tools.
We are looking for 30 volunteers from a range of ages (18+) to help us test new developments in biosensing technology.
The experiments will be non-intrusive, won't hurt and will take place in FACT over two days in the summer (date TBC).
We'll need 45 minutes of your time, which involves trying out the technology and giving feedback. Refreshments will be provided and it will be chance to meet the ARtSense team and find out more about the project.
If you are interested in helping us design this exciting new system, please contact Clara Casian: firstname.lastname@example.org
Alternatively to find out more, join us from 10am to 12.30pm on 21 June in The Box cinema screen for an ARtSense "Show and Tell".
Eye-tracking technology is provided by IOSB (Fraunhofer-Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation) and audio tools are provided by the University of Valencia.
