Who can enter the gallery on Friday, Saturday and Sunday?
Anyone who joins the queue. We ask that visitors to FACT are patient and respect the queuing system. We cannot guarantee entry to everyone who queues, so please arrive early to avoid disappointment. Please note, the gallery is not open to the public on Thursday, but you can still call the artists or view the live stream.
How long can I stay in the gallery for?
There is no time limit, but please be mindful of other visitors who will be waiting in line outside. Galleries will be open from 11am - 6pm, so you will be asked to leave at 6pm.
How long will I need to wait?
Unfortunately we cannot give you an exact time. Galleries are open 11am - 6pm and the only way to reduce your waiting time is to arrive early and join the queue.
Can I go back in after I’ve been in once?
No. Once you leave Gallery 1, visitors will be asked to leave the area immediately outside the gallery. From here, visitors will have the chance to explore the Bookmarks space or Gallery2. If you wish to re-enter Gallery 1, you will have to join the back of the queue outside again.
Can I take pictures/film?
Yes. You may take photos and videos for personal use on your smartphone, but visitors will not be allowed to bring large cameras or professional recording equipment into the space. Please be mindful of other visitors when taking your photos and respect theirexperience.
How many people can be in the gallery at the same time?
The total capacity for Gallery 1 is 70 people. There will be staff on the entrance and exit to the gallery managing the number of visitors inside, and admission will work on a one in, one out system. Please respect this policy which is for your safety, and do not try to sneak into the gallery.
