We set out to raise £500 in order to support FACT to continue the range of life-enriching outreach projects we currently work on - and beat our target, raising £665!
An early start and a long coach ride meant a lot of coffee was consumed on our journey to Wales; tired and grumbling colleagues fast transformed into hyper motivated and action-ready ramblers as we nearer our destination.
We were met with a challenging prospect - before us stood 1085m of green mountain, which equates to five miles of steep, uphill walking. Along the way we enjoyed the incredible views, made friends with some ponies and raced against the clock (and our peers) to reach the summit by lunch time.
Conquering the summit in three and a half hours (which we've been reliably told is a good time) we filled up on lunch and took some selfies, before recommencing the mammoth walk back down.
We'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported us on our sponsored walk - donations from family, friends and supporters of FACT have made a huge impact on our resources, and we're grateful for every donation, enabling to continue the great work we do.
As well as taking part on the hike, Executive Director Jo Wright has been pushing himself to the physical limit in the name of charity with a 130 mile bikeride! And continuing our staff fundraising, FACT Director Mike Stubbs will soon be jumping our of a plane (the planned jump was moved due to bad weather, but we're looking at new dates now!)

A special thanks to Maghull Coaches for organising our journey.
