Heartwarming, upbeat and unlike anything you’ve ever seen before, Sunshine on Leith is a new musical based on the award winning stage production which toured the UK in 2007.

Ex-Squaddies Davy and Ally return to Edinburgh, after serving in Afghanistan, where they must re-adjust to the daily life of family, friends, jobs and relationships. Featuring music from The Proclaimers including I'm On My WayLetter From America,  and the classic that is I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).

After receiving its world premiere at the 2013 Toronto Film Festival, Sunshine on Leith has been described as ‘remorselessly rousing’, ‘a love song to Scotland’ with The Telegraph saying ‘It's hard to keep the grin off your face’.

Directed by Dexter Fletcher, who is better known as Soap from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Cody from Kick Ass, and Tony from Hotel Babylon. The film star’s Peter Mullan and Jason Flemyng in some of their first singing roles. The Proclaimers' Charlie Reid said ‘The songs have been taken apart and rebuilt with great orchestration and singing and it takes the music in a direction we just couldn't.’

Tickets for the Sunshine on Leith are available now from the Box Office, online and by phone on 0871 902 5737.
